After any oral surgery like wisdom teeth removal or dental implants, we ask that you do not use straws to drink liquids. The negative pressure from straws can cause more bleeding by dislodging the blood clot which could ultimately lead to dry socket. Instead, we recommend sipping from a glass or using a spoon to eat soft foods.
